Hyderabad: A 24-year-old psychiatrist was booked for rash-driving by Begumpet police after her car bumped into bikers on busy Begumpet road on Thursday.

She created a ruckus on the road, even as the traffic police tried to control the situation, causing huge traffic jam on the entire stretch during morning rush hours.

Some bikers, who observed that she was driving the car recklessly recorded the video over their cell-phones, which went viral on social media.

In the video her car appears to bump into one of the bikers, who stops and challenges about the way she was driving.

Uable to come to terms, the woman overtakes the biker and compels him to stop a few metres away and starts heated argument with the biker.

Even as the traffic cops present on occasion try to stop her, she abuses and attacks the biker. This incident took place during morning rush hour between the Chikoti garden and Greenlands at Begumpet.

According to police, the woman was identified as Dr Lubna, a resident of Sikh Village in Secunderabad, who drove away in her vehicle from the spot after the high drama.

The S R Nagar traffic police later reported the incident to the Begumpet police, who are yet to ascertain, if the woman was in drunken state.

“She bumped into two-wheelers and created ruckus on the road. We registered a case against her and began investigation after tracing about her whereabouts,” said D Nagaraju, Sub-Inspector.

A case was registered under section 279 of IPC (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 70 (B) of City Police Act.
