The Telangana Government has proposed to be set up a rail and metro coach factory at Hyderabad for which 100-acre land has been allocated with an estimated investment of Rs. 800 crores.

An MoU was signed in this regard with Medha Servo Drives on Friday in the presence of IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the Rail Coach Factory was promised to be completed within six months of its formation in the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Act 2014 but it got delayed despite several appeals to the central government.

Continuing further, he said that all is set for the Rail/Metro Coach Factory in Telangana adding that the state is emerging to be a manufacturing hub.
