Hyderabad : Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday said that his government was committed to provide 1.20 lakh jobs by filling vacancies in different departments of State Government.

Intervening on a question pertaining to Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidhi Scheme during Question Hour in Telangana Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said that his government would fill all vacancies and so far notifications have been issued for filling 1.20 lakh vacancies.

The Chief Minister was originally referring to an earlier question raised by Congress MLA A. Sampath Kumar and others on alleged irregularities in Group-II exams. In his reply, Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao has denied of any irregularities although he said there was some confusion due to the introduction of new coding and decoding system in OMR sheets. He said some cases have been filed in the High Court on alleged irregularities.

"The Telangana State Public Service Commission has filed counter affidavits denying all the allegations. The High Court in its orders has directed to take up the verification of certificates of shortlisted candidates and to furnish the list. Accordingly, the Commission took up the certificates’ verification and furnished the list," the Minister informed.

Later, speaking on the issue, the Chief Minister praised TSPSC Chairman Ganta Chakrapani and said he was a Dalit scholar with vast experience. He said Chakrapani had also served as the chairman of Union Public Service Commission. Stating that there were no irregularities in Group-II exams, he said Chakrapani had brought several reforms in the TSPSC to conduct recruitment processes in a transparent manner.
