Hyderabad: Within days after getting bail, N Abhishek Goud, 20, son of Malkajgiri TRS Corporator, N Jagadish Goud was arrested, this time by Cyber Cell (Rachakonda) for harassing the women by insisting on cybersex. He is accused of morphing photos of victims and uploading them and blackmailing the victims for favours.

The Cyber Cell which found that the accused had deleted all the evidence from his mobile and other gadgets prompting the investigators to take help of forensic tools. This time, they have claimed to have data which was retrieved back online to nail him. According to police, Abhishek created fake Facebook profile with a female profile picture and named it as ‘Vara Darling’. The 25-year complainant, who presumed online friend's invite to be that of a girl, accepted the friend

request. However, the victim started receiving messages seeking cybersex and also received explicit content on her Facebook Messenger. When the victim tried to reprimand the sender for sending vulgar messages and videos, to her shock she received her own morphed photograph, with a nude body. The accused allegedly threatened her that, if she does not oblige and respond to his messages he will forward the morphed photographs to all her contacts and post them on porn websites. Based on her complaint, a case was registered under sections, 292 , 201, 354 D, 507 IPC and Section 66 (C ),66 (E), 67, 67 (A) IT Act. Investigation into the case found that Abhishek Goud was the creator and handler of the Facebook profile of ‘Vara Darling’.

During interrogation he confessed that he misled the women by creating fake Facebook account. The case was investigated by Md Riyazuddin, Inspector Cyber Cell with the assistance of SI P Saidulu. “The women and girls who are having social media accounts are warned not to accept any friend request from un-known persons even though the profile and display picture are appear to be of a girl,” said Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, M Mahesh Bhagwat. Abhishek was earlier arrested on September 20 by City’s Central Crime Station, but was out on bail. He was booked under Sections 354 D (stalking), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) of IPC and relevant sections of IT Act then.
