Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao on Monday addressed the subject of water supply after a question was raised by MLC V Bhoopal Reddy in the Legislative Council.
Replying to the same, KTR said that the piped water supply spanning over 2,007 kilometres would be provided to 183 villages by August, 2018 adding that the project aims to cover 4,125 villages.
Elaborating further, the Minister said that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is handed the works to provide water supply to 183 villages within the Outer Ring Road.
He informed that so far 80 reservoir works have been grounded since August 2017 and the remaining are in grounding stage.
