Protest against writer Kancha Ilaiah continued with protestors setting up posters near his residence in Tarnaka on Sunday.

According to the Times of India report, the posters were put up at various locations, including his apartment and they read, "Let us forgive Ilaiah, who is an illiterate and foolish person. We strive for protecting Hinduism''.

The writer has been facing the ire of the Arya Vysya groups across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh ever since he described the trading community as social smugglers in his Telugu booklet "Samaajika smugglerlu komatollu".

The communities sought a ban on the book and the arrest of the writer for hurting their sentiments, however, the Supreme Court refused to ban the book in it’s verdict on October 15.

Ilaiah defended his book and alleged that both the governments of AP and Telangana were trying to suppress freedom of expression.
