Hyderabad: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy lost his cool in the House as the Question Hour came to an end while he was replying to a question on Monday. Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao and Finance Minister Eatala Rajender had to intervene to handle the situation.

Naini Narasimha Reddy was replying to a question on Risk Allowance to Traffic Police in the State, when he was stopped. While Supplementary questions were asked by other members, the AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi raised Point of Order over continuation of Question Hour after 11:30 am. He brought to the notice of the Speaker that the deputy speaker cut his mike when was talking on an important issue. “I was on my legs… my mike was cut stating that the Question Hour closes at 11:30 am even if the Leader of House speaks during that time. How the Question Hour is extended today,” Akbaruddin Owaisi asked.

Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary immediately informed that the Question Hour was over and also added that the remaining questions were deemed to have been answered and one question was postponed. Outraged over this, Home Minister vent his ire by shouting at Ministers and other Opposition members. The Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao and Finance Minister Eatala Rajender had to intervene and cool down the Home Minister. At this juncture, the Opposition members urged the Speaker to give mike to the Home Minister so that he could complete his answer.

The Home Minister was annoyed once again when the Speaker asked other Minister to respond to a query raised by a member during Zero Hour, though the subject belonged to Narasimha Reddy’s department.
