Hyderabad : Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao said that the Telangana Government was planning to establish an Administrative Wing in all government hospitals in the State.

Intervening on a query raised by TRS MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao during Question Hour in Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said previous regimes had completely neglected the public hospitals. However, the conditions have improved during the last three years. He said there was a proposal to establish an Administrative Wing in all hospitals so that the doctors could focus only on treatment of patients.

The Chief Minister said the improvement of infrastructure and other facilities and introduction of schemes like KCR Kits have increase the flow of patients in government hospitals. He said recently a newspaper published a picture of a patient who was being administered saline on the floor itself. He said the editor of the newspaper was immediately consulted and urged not to publish such photographs. He said instead of returning the patients due to lack of bed strength, the hospitals have been extending treatment to poor patients while making some adjustments.
