KCR announces free power 24x7 to Agriculture sector
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao addressed the members in the Assembly session on Wednesday where he announced that the state is providing free uninterrupted power 24x7 to Agriculture sector for the first time ever in the history of the country.

Calling it a good news for the farmers who had been reeling under the hardships for decades, KCR informed that pump sets alone consume 25 percent of the power.
Pointing out that huge power shortage crisis existed before TRS came into power, he stated that the 24x7 power phase is currently being implemented on an experimental basis in Nalgonda, Medak, and Karimnagar from July 2016.
The Chief Minister said that they will provide 24x7 power supply to Agriculture sector from next Rabi season and the electricity department is making all the necessary arrangements in this regard.
