Hyderabad : Prompt and timely action by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, Sirpur Khagaznagar, Secunderabad Division led to unearthing of a notorious Inter-State gang of Parthi community belonging to Solapur who are responsible for theft of passenger belongings in various trains.

L. Chidambaram Assistant Sub Inspector, RPF of Sirpur Khagaznagar (SKZR) Post while on duty, received a complaint from a lady passenger travelling in Train no. 17234 Ballarshah – Secunderabad, Bhagyanagar express stating that her hand bag containing gold ornaments stolen while boarding the train at Peddapalli Railway Station. The Assistant Sub Inspector immediately swung into action and apprehended a suspected lady offender travelling in the same train, with the help of other lady passengers and recovered stolen gold ornaments from her possession. He passed this information to Inspector Protection Force, Kazipet (KZJ) who attended the train at Kazipet and detrained the lady offender and after due enquiries, handed over her to Government Railway Police (GRP), Kazipet for further investigation.

GRP/KZJ conducted further thorough investigation with the lady offender by name Shobha Deepak Kale Resident of Solapur District of Parthi community and arrested her on 07.11.2017.

GRP/KZJ in coordination with RPF arrested other 4 male accomplices led by the above lady offender belonging to Parthi community and registered a case with recovery of Rs. 27 lakhs worth gold ornaments and cash of Rs.90,000/- from the above gang.

The said gang is responsible for 18 Theft of passenger offences registered at various GRP stations and all these cases were connected.
