Re-register old vehicles from AP to Telangana online
In order to change the vehicle registrations from Andhra Pradesh (AP) to Telangana (TS), the Transport Department is all set to introduce online service for the same.

The system was supposed to be introduced last year following the GO approving the service was issued but the reorganization of districts resulted in the postponement.
According to the transport officials, once the system is introduced, the installation of High-Security Number Plates would be mandatory for re-registration of vehicles.
With nearly 75 lakh motorists who have to change the State and district codes for their vehicles, they, however, will have the same number but nearly one lakh vehicle owners who have their vehicles registered in AP but are plying in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, have to get their vehicles re-registered.
Two-wheelers would be charged Rs 350 for reassigning the number and Rs 550 for four-wheelers while an additional Rs 245 and Rs 619 would be charged for issuing High-Security Number Plates respectively.
