Transport Minister Mahender Reddy: TS Govt making efforts to pull RTC ouf of losses

Transport Minister Mahender Reddy speaking in the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday said that the Telangana Government is making every effort to take the State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) out of losses.

During Question Hour, he told the House that the government had released Rs 39 crore for the purchase of new buses during 2015-16 while the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation allocated funds of Rs. 336 crore to the corporation.

Mr Reddy suggested people's representatives and officials to travel by RTC buses in order to set an example to the common people to prefer the public transport.
