CMRS undertakes Metro Rail inspection

The much-awaited Metro Rail safety inspection between Mettuguda and SR Nagar was conducted on Friday. While the safety clearances for a stretch of 8.1 km from Nagole to Mettuguda and 12 km Miyapur to SR Nagar stretch was obtained earlier, the Mettuguda and SR Nagar stretch was pending.

Hyderabad: The much-awaited Metro Rail safety inspection between Mettuguda and SR Nagar was conducted on Friday. While the safety clearances for a stretch of 8.1 km from Nagole to Mettuguda and 12 km Miyapur to SR Nagar stretch was obtained earlier, the Mettuguda and SR Nagar stretch was pending.

Shivanand Nimbargi, MD & CEO, LTMRHL said, “We are thankful to Ram Kirpal, Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) for commencing the inspection of Hyderabad Metro Rail from Mettuguda to SR Nagar for compliance of the statutory requirements for the passenger travel.” Ram Kirpal, Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) was accompanied by K B Ram Meher, Deputy CRS Engg, GP Garg, Deputy CRS electrical and E Srinivas, Deputy CRS Signalling.

The CMRS will inspect the civil works, permanent-way, RoB, viaduct, stations, electrical, signalling and train control, telecommunication, rolling stock and other railway systems of the Hyderabad Metro Rail.
With the inspection underway, metro rail authorities expressed confidence that there would be no more hurdles, and everything would go according to plan.
