Unveiling the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar at Rajeshwarapuram under Nelakondapalli mandal on Sunday, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was giving priority to agriculture sector.

Khammam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao said that the State government was working for the betterment of farmers. Unveiling the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar at Rajeshwarapuram under Nelakondapalli mandal on Sunday, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was giving priority to agriculture sector.

“The government has taken measures to ensure 24-hour power supply to agriculture from January 1,” the Minister said, referring to the other programmes initiated by the Chief
Minister.

Laying foundation stone for Rs 28 crore bridge at Suddepally village, he said that six check dams will come up on Palair river so that farmers can draw the waters. He said that time is not far away for the farmers to cultivate three crops in a year.
The Minister assured that he would develop Palair constituency on par with the best in the State.

Seed Corporation chairman K Koteswara Rao, DCCB chairman Muvva Vijay Babu and SC Corporation chairman P Ravi were among others present.
