The Telangana government has taken up a giant task of mega training camp for its officials from the rank of Chief Secretary to Village Secretary during January next. The entire month will be a training period for all the officials from the Village Panchayat to the state Secretariat.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has taken up a giant task of mega training camp for its officials from the rank of Chief Secretary to Village Secretary during January next. The entire month will be a training period for all the officials from the Village Panchayat to the state Secretariat.

The government embarked on such a mega exercise aiming to achieve desired results in every department and fine tune administrative skills among the employees working at grassroots level to the top executive bodies.

The new policy decision taken by the government and administrative changes brought into force in the new districts will be discussed with the officials and make them to understand the objective of the government in implementing every welfare and development programme launched by the TRS government.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will hold a first training camp with a select group of officials, including the Chief Secretary, Secretaries and the heads of the selected departments.

Experts from the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) and retired senior officials will also take part. In the camps, the government will identify the bottlenecks in the execution of the welfare and development schemes and also seek their suggestions to set the things right.

For instance, two-bedroom house scheme was moving at a snail pace. The government wanted to rectify the delay in the scheme and streamline the official machinery for the speedy execution of the project.

“With the 2019 elections are approaching fast, the TRS government is desperate to complete all the announced schemes mainly Mission Bhagiratha, 2-bedroom scheme, completion of irrigation project works, implementation of Rs 8,000 incentive to every farmer, etc by the end of 2018.

The big challenge before the government is to streamline the government machinery by addressing all the administrative hurdles, a senior official of the General Administration Department told The Hans India.

As part of the promotion of horticulture and make agriculture a profitable profession in a big way in the dry land areas, the Agriculture department has already decided to send a team of officials to different parts of the country to undergo training.

If required, a special team will also be sent to Israel, Malaysia and Singapore where drip irrigation was adopted as an alternative for the promotion of horticulture.

A team of officials from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development will also be sent to European countries to undergo training in the effective administration of the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

The officials of the Irrigation, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Civil Supplies, Agriculture and Marketing, Animal Husbandry, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Medical and Health and Education departments would undergo special training in Hyderabad.
