TRS leader thrashes wife in public, taken into custody
A leader of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), P Srinivas Reddy thrashed his first wife, Sangeetha mercilessly in public after she protested against his second marriage in front of his residence.
A leader of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), P Srinivas Reddy thrashed his first wife, Sangeetha mercilessly in public after she protested against his second marriage in front of his residence.
The act was caught on camera in a video shot by a member of Sangeetha's family where Srinivas is seen using abusive language, threatening her while his family members pulled Sangeetha by her hair and then beating her up.
Srinivas got married to Sangeetha four years ago and has a baby girl with her. His family has allegedly been harassing her since the girl was born. But recently, Sangeetha found out that her husband had married Devi Jagadeeshwari in August without even divorcing her.
She along with her family went to his house and protested his second marriage but as she tried to confront him, she was attacked.
Sangeetha has filed a complaint with the local police and a case has been registered under attempt to murder and the TRS leader has been taken into custody.
