Hyderabad has found a place among eight cities in the country selected for the Ministry of Home Affairs project which ensures the safety of women in public places.
Hyderabad has found a place among eight cities in the country selected for the Ministry of Home Affairs project which ensures the safety of women in public places.
The other cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow.
The project, under the Nirbhaya Fund, has a committee set up by the Home Ministry and the first meeting will be held at North Block, New Delhi on Wednesday.
With members from Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Police and municipal commissioners of cities teaming up in the committee, the project aims to work out strategies women safety in public places.
