Former Rajya Sabha member and Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday consoled the families of Ramesh and Narsimhulu, who lost their lives in Gulf countries, in a village near Chintamadaka of Medak district.

He demanded the Telangana government to pay the families of the victims, ex-gratia of Rs 24 lakh and provide a government job for a member of the family.

The Congress leader further advised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to focus on resolving people’s issues in the state instead of constantly repeating Bangaru Telangana.

He even criticised KCR for not coming to the rescue of an agricultural laborer, who committed suicide in his native Chintamadaka village.
