Hyderabad student commits suicide in Chennai University, students set campus on fire

An Engineering student from Hyderabad committed suicide in her hostel room at Sathyabama University in Chennai.

The student identified as Radha Mounika was pursuing engineering first year and took the extreme step due to harassment by college authorities.

Following their batchmate’s death, students from the University set the campus on fire and demanded the Tamil Nadu government to take action against the varsity management.

According to the sources, the varsity officials did not allow her to write exams as she was caught copying in one of the internal exams. Students alleged that the girl committed suicide as she was unable to deal with the harassment of the college authorities.
