Efforts on to make two mega events magnificent
Chief Secretary SP Singh on Thursday directed officials to make foolproof arrangements for the three-day ‘Global Entrepreneurship Summit-2017’ and also for prestigious launch of Metro Rail in the city on November 28.
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SP Singh on Thursday directed officials to make foolproof arrangements for the three-day ‘Global Entrepreneurship Summit-2017’ and also for prestigious launch of Metro Rail in the city on November 28.
During a high-level meeting ahead of the two major events to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Secretary instructed the officials of various departments to make sure that all arrangements are made in a perfect manner. “Remarkable Metro launch and incredible global business summit will be conducted simultaneously and will go in to the annals of Telangana history,” he said.
SP Singh, who is the chairman of the coordination committee of the Metro Rail project took stock of the arrangements at a meeting in the Secretariat on the launch of the Metro Rail. The meeting assumes significance in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to launch the Metro Rail at Miyapur at about 3 pm and address the global conclave in the evening at HICC.
Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy said they were ready for the launch of the Metro Rail on November 28. Prime Minister will travel in the Metro Rail on November 28 and its services will be started for general public on November 29.
He said they were also planning to run a few trains for the first six months in the city and will increase services on the increase of commuters and also when other corridors get ready for operations.
DGP Mahender Reddy, top police officials, Collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts and others attended the meeting.
