Hyderabad: Long wait ended for Hyderabadis as the Metro rail is all set chug off on November 29 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the project at Miyapur. The fare structure of the metro rail has been finalised on Saturday by the Telangana government.

According to a press release from the L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad, the project developer would charge a minimum of Rs 10 from the commuters for the travel of 2 kms.

  • Rs 15 for two to four kms distance.
  • Rs 25 for four to six kilometres.
  • Rs 30 between six and eight kilometres.
  • Rs 35 between eight to 10 kms.
  • Rs 40 between 10 to 14 kms
  • Rs 45 will be charged for more than 14 to 18 kms.
  • Rs 50 will be charged for 18 to 22 kms.
  • Rs 55 for 22 to 26 kms.
  • Rs 60 for more than 26 kms.

Smart cards will be for sale in all the metro stations from November 29. However, as of now, the cards will be available in Nagole, Miyapur, Tarnaka, Prakash Nagar, SR Nagar metro stations.
