The commercial operations on the Nagole- Ameerpet- Miyapur sections will start from 6 am on November 29 after the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi the previous day.

Hyderabad: It is official now. The minimum Metro Rail fare for a two-km distance is Rs 10 and for a distance of more than 26 km it is Rs 60. The commercial operations on the Nagole- Ameerpet- Miyapur sections will start from 6 am on November 29 after the inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi the previous day.

The concessionaire, L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited announced the fares late on Saturday evening. The minimum fare has been kept as Rs 10 and maximum fare is Rs 60. The token or smart card can be purchased at any station from November 29 onwards.

However, people can buy smart cards from Saturday between 10 am to 5 pm at Nagole, Tarnaka, Praksah Nagar and SR Nagar stations. Smart Cards will be charged @ Rs 200 each with Rs 100 as initial top-up amount for travel and Rs 100 towards security deposit. A special discount of 5 per cent is given to smart card users.
