Hyderabad: A legal notice was on Saturday served on Congress leader and MLA A Revanth Reddy by Raj Pakala, owner of Events Now Pvt Ltd, for making serious allegations against him.

In the notice, advocate of Raj Pakala, asked Revanth Reddy to tender unconditional apology for the comments made against Raj Pakala through print and electronic media. If Revanth failed to tender apology, legal action would be taken, the notice said.

It may be recalled here that Revanth Reddy had alleged that the Events Now company, owned by Raj Pakala, was organising Sunburn party in which narcotic drugs would be supplied. Though the event had been banned by many state, Telangana State government had allowed it.

The government had given permission to this event as Raj Pakala was brother-in-law of Industries Minister K T Rama Rao and former had used the influence of the Minister to get permission for the Sunburn party.

Advocate of Raj Pakala made it clear that the allegations made by Revanth were false as Events Now has nothing to do with the organising of Sunburn and other parties. Events Now was not even a ticketing partner, the advocate said.
