Hyderabad: Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy said elaborate security arrangements are in place for the peaceful conduct of Global Entrepreneurship Summit and launch of Hyderabad Metro Rail.

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, the DGP said representatives from various countries would be attending the Summit at HICC beginning from November 28. The guests include Prime Minister Narender Modi and Advisor to US President Ivanka Trump. He said more than 10,400 policemen have been deployed for security at Falaknuma Palace, Golconda Fort, HICC and other important locations. He said that the Telangana police was coordinating with the Special Protection Group (SPG) and US Secret Service.

Mahender Reddy said that security arrangements were being monitored from the Command Control Room at the State Police Headquarters. He said Ivanka Trump would reach from USA at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad on November 28 and after participating in GES and other events, she would leave Hyderabad the next day.

The DGP said security has been intensified at hotels where delegates of GES would be accommodated. He said special measures were also taken to ensure smooth movement of all dignitaries and delegates.
