Khammam: Children must concentrate on their studies besides learning certain skills for self-defense like martial arts, observed martial arts trainer Santhosh here on Sunday.

The Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence organised a martial arts class for students of various educational institutions as part of their ‘Personality Development Class’ here in Khammam on Sunday. Addressing the students, Santosh said these days learning martial arts has become compulsory for children. It enables them to defend themselves in difficult situations. Learning such skills gives immense self-confidence to the students besides helping them in focusing on their studies, he observed.

Yoga Guru Adinarayana taught the children about the practicing of Yoga and meditation. Representatives of the Institute Jayanth Patel, Keshava Patel, Hazare Srinivas and Rajini were present along with students from various educational institutions.
