GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has strongly denied reports that have been circulating on social media alleging that he had resigned from his post for being ignored during the launch of Hyderabad Metro Rail. The Mayor has clarified that such reports were totally fake and baseless. Â

A few reports were circulated on social media platform WhatsApp stating that the Mayor felt insulted as he was completely sidelined during the launch of Hyderabad Metro Rail by Prime Minister Narender Modi on Tuesday. Reacting on those reports, the Mayor not only issued a clarification, but also lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime cell seeking action against those who spread those rumours.
He said he would continue to work hard under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao for the development of Hyderabad.
