Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday declared that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre was committed to the development of Telangana, the youngest State in the country, in all aspects.

Addressing the BJP workers at a reception organised by the State BJP at the Begumpet Aiport, Modi, in his brief speech, made it clear whichever party was in power in Telangana, the Centre would provide all required assistance without any political bias.

The BJP was committed to pursue the policy of cooperative federalism and as such would render all help and assistance for the development of Telangana State.

Beginning his address in Telugu saying “Sodara Sodarimanulara, Meekandariki na Hrudayapurvaka Shubhkankshalu”, the Prime Minister said he was very happy to visit Hyderabad which was a beautiful city.

Whenever he visited Hyderabad, he was always reminded of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was instrumental in the merger of the erstwhile Nizam State with India.

He congratulated the people of Hyderabad for hosting the prestigious GES-2017. “The whole world is now looking at Hyderabad where leaders of industry from all corners of the globe are assembling for the GES-2017,” he observed.

The Prime Minister also paid tributes to the Telangana martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the achievement of a separate State. He took the opportunity to hail the sacrifices and hard work being done by the BJP cadre all over the country which had resulted in making the BJP the biggest political party in the world.

He appreciated the BJP cadre for striving to better the conditions of the downtrodden and worked for the betterment of common man despite the fact that the BJP was not in power whether in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana or any other State in the South.

Modi concluded his speech in Telugu by conveying his best wishes to the people of Telangana, especially the citizens of Hyderabad. Earlier, the Prime Minister landed at the Begumpet Airport by a special IAF plane. He was accorded a warm welcome by Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Cabinet ministers, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders and also the BJP State president Laxman, BJP Assembly Floor Leader G Kishan Reddy and other party leaders.

After the welcome by the State authorities, the Prime Minister proceeded to the special arena on the airport premises where the State BJP organised a reception and addressed the BJP cadre of about 3,000. Later, he left by helicopter to inaugurate the Metro Rail project at Miyapur station.
