Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the 72-km elevated project at the Miyapur station on Tuesday.

Initially, the trains would run from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. later it would be rescheduled to 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. depending on the demand.

Scores of Hyderabadis thronged the metro stations on Wednesday morning to take the first ride.

Commuters are lining for tickets to experience the first metro ride in the city.

The 30 km-long first phase of the project runs between Miyapur and Nagole which has 24 stations.

The minimum ticket fare is Rs 10 and maximum is Rs 60. Metro Smart cards can also be availed and they are priced at Rs 200, including a deposit of Rs 100.
