Acid Attack victim succumbs to injuries in Warangal

A 25-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries on Thursday after falling victim to an acid attack in Warangal.

The woman was found with acid burn injuries on her face and other parts of her body, in a field in Garimillapaly village and was rushed to the MGM Hospital in Warangal by locals who heard her cries.

According to the reports, the woman, a divorcee had been staying with a man who prima facie hurled the acid on suspicion of her character, after she deserted him recently.

It is learned two others were involved in the incident and they have been identified as Kalavala Chandu, Adepu Anil and Rakesh, all auto drivers in Sakarasikunta. The police have taken all the three into custody in connection with the incident.
