Hyderabad : Chief Secretary S.P. Singh directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the successful conduct of World Telugu Conference from 15th to 19th December.

The Chief Secretary, along with Advisor to Telangana Government K.V. Ramanachary, held a meeting at the Secretariat on Friday and reviewed the preparations for the conference. He said there should be no lapses in arrangements transport, food and accommodation for the delegates coming from different parts of the country and world. He said special volunteers should be appointed for the effective execution of works.

Singh said a circular should be issued to invite all IAS, IPS, IFS, heads of various departments, Vice-Chancellors of all universities for the World Telugu Conference. He said famous sportspersons should also be invited for the event. He said the main dais of the conference would be at Lal Bahadur Stadium where a Laser Show will also be conducted. He said welcome arches would be erected near Airport, Bus Stations, Railway Stations and other important places.

The Chief Secretary said the entire conference would be monitored through a special control room.

The meeting was attended by Special Chief Secretary Ranjeev R. Acharya, Secretaries Sunil Sharma, Rajat Kumar, C.V. Anand, B. Venkatesham and Sandeep Kumar Sultania, GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy, HMWSSB Managing Dierctor Dana Kishore, Hyderabad Collector Yogitha Rana and other senior officials.
