Hyderabad: Taking a jibe at State BJP leaders for organising BC Sangramam, Mahbubnagar MLA V Srinivas Goud on Friday asked the state BJP leaders to first ask their national party leaders to include Bandaru Dattatreya in the Union Cabinet and then take up BC Sangramam.
He said, “The BJP leaders should first adopt a resolution in their meeting urging the Centre to include Dattatreya into Union Cabinet and then take up their meeting.” The legislator further added that the State government has taken up various welfare schemes for the development of Backward Classes in the State.
“The Centre had allocated Rs 20 lakh crore for BCs, but spent just Rs 900 crore. Whereas, the TRS government spent Rs 5,000 crore for BCs,” he said, adding that the BJP leaders should also convince the Centre to consider 33 per cent reservations to BCs in Assembly and local bodies, besides setting up a separate ministry for BCs.
Replying to a question, the TRS leader said there was no question of alliance with BJP.
He stated that BCs would not support BJP as they were the worst sufferers of note ban taken up by the BJP government.
