On the eve of World Disability Day, the Telangana government signed an agreement with with Vindhya E-Infomedia Private Limited to set up World’s first Information Technology (IT) campus for persons with disabilities.

On the eve of World Disability Day, the Telangana government signed an agreement with Vindhya E-Infomedia Private Limited on Saturday to set up World’s first Information Technology (IT) campus for persons with disabilities.

The IT campus, spread over 10 acres will come up near Hyderabad International Airport in the IT Park developed by the state government and will focus on creating employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

With amenities including training, residential facility and delivery centers, the campus is expected to create jobs for 2,000 people in the next five years.

Vindhya E-Infomedia Private Limited has majority of their workforce physically challenged, hearing impaired and visually impaired. The Telangana government and the Vindhya are looking at various corporates to take up such initiatives.
