Drunken driving: Four-wheeler rams into parked vehicle, one killed
In a drunken driving accident, an engineering student rammed his four-wheeler into a parked vehicle in Hyderabad on Sunday midnight killing one person.According to the police, the accused identified as Sai Karthik, a student of Sathyabhama University in Chennai was coming back from a ceremony along with his friends at Park Hyatt at midnight.

It is learned that Karthik was in inebriated condition and did not notice the parked vehicle at the Jubilee Hills stretch and rammed into it. Due to the impact, the vehicle overturned leaving all the three of his friends in the car with serious injuries.
They were immediately rushed to a hospital but his friend Jatin Varma succumbed to his injuries while the other three including Karthik escaped with minor injuries.
Later, Karthik was subjected to breath analyzer test and it was found that blood alcohol count was 80mg/100ml. Police have registered a case under relevant sections for causing death and negligent driving following which Karthik was taken into custody.
