Hyderabad: The Prisons Department of Telangana government installed five LED television sets at Anand Ashram in Chanchalguda Prison here on Sunday.

Speaking to The Hans India, Subhash, the Deputy Jailer of Chanchalguda said, “Most of the members living here tend to spend their time in isolation. We have installed these TV sets to bring them together, so, that they can learn constructive ways of living.”

Furthermore, he added, “We used the money from the prisoners’ welfare fund, which comprises the profits which we earn from the prison industries like petrol pumps, steel manufacturing and organic farming. As of now, we have 31 members in the Ashram, there are members who join the Ashram and are mentally unstable, we also provide life skills training to everybody.”
