Girl allegedly raped, murdered on her eighth birthday
A seven-year-old girl’s body was found with bruises and nail and teeth bites on Monday in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
A seven-year-old girl’s body was found with bruises and nail and teeth bites on Monday in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
The girl was supposed to celebrate her birthday on the same day. Officials informed that the victim was a Class I student and was found with her clothes partially torn in a haystack near Gori Kothapalli village of Regonda block.
The police stated that it appeared she was raped before being strangled to death. A case of murder has been registered by the police.
The girl had stepped out of her house on Sunday after dinner to watch a candle-light procession.
The villagers were holding the procession in memory of a Dalit woman Bharati, who died of a heart attack during clashes with the police in Hyderabad on November 6.
Her parents began looking for her after she didn’t return home after an hour and lodged a missing person’s complaint with the police on Monday morning.
