Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday instructed officials to erect a unique main dais at LB Stadium for the conduct of the five-day World Telugu Conference to be held from December 15 in the city.

Besides literary and music programmes, the Chief Minister also wanted the main dais at the stadium to provide space for the conduct of music programmes, food courts, book exhibition, selling outlets, handicrafts sales emporium and exhibitions by the Archeological Department. One-day musical programmes on Telugu film songs and documentary reflecting the Telangana lifestyle, attire, culture, arts and festivals will also be screened.

Chandrashekar Rao, along with officials, visited the venue for the world conference and enquired the progress in the arrangements with the officials. The officials were asked to do decorations both inside and outside the stadium. He also wanted cut-outs of Telugu literary figures should be put up at the venue.

The Chief Minister also conducted a review meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on the preparations which was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Road & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and others. He told the Ministers that Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu would attend the inaugural function and President Ramnath Kovind would take part in the valedictory function. The Chief Minister discussed vehicle parking arrangements and traffic regulation at the venue during the five-day conference.
