Hyderabad: Telangana BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao demanded the winding up of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) as they have miserably failed in recruiting candidates for jobs

Addressing the media here on Monday, he said that the institutions and system of governance have collapsed in the State due to the inefficiency of the ruling TRS government. This, in turn, is like pouring cold water on the aspirations and hopes of thousands of students and youth in the State who were eagerly waiting for notifications on recruitment, he lamented.

Krishna Saagar Rao said that the State government claimed about 80,000 vacancies in the government. But, “If recruitment notifications are issued, they turned out to be faulty, if not, the examinations would not be held, if held, then, the results are delayed, if results are announced, they are again reviewed and revised.” This speaks volumes about the inefficiency of TSPSC and the way it has been functioning over the years, eroding the confidence of the unemployed youth in the institutions of the State. When the TSPSC could not deliver on its mandate, it is better to shut it down permanently, he added.

Similarly, the existence of the TSHEC too is also working in the same way as the TSPSC, he lamented. Referring to the students’ unrest in the Osmania University campus, Krishna Saagar Rao urged the students and the youth in the State not to resort to extreme steps, but, instead, stand and fight for their rights. He said that the party also supports the demand of the students to provide compensation to the family of the deceased.

Terming the State is under a feudal rule, he asked the State Director-General of Police M Mahender Reddy, whether the highhandedness of police on the Osmania University campus on Sunday night is what is called friendly police policy of the state police department. He demanded the DGP to conduct a departmental inquiry and take action against the erring police officers who resorted to lathi charge on the students.

He said that the State’s political scenario would undergo several changes after December 18 and the Congress party would be left with no other option but to pack up its bags and leave.
