Unable to deal with lecturer's harassment, degree student ends life

A degree student from Bhadradri Kothagudem district committed suicide on Monday by consuming rat poison after being harassed by her lecturer. The victim identified as Krishna Priyanka was pursuing B.Com at a private college in the Bhadrachalam town.
The incident occurred at Lingalapalli village in Dammapeta mandal.

The 19-year-old returned from college on Saturday and consumed rat poison. While she was immediately rushed to the hospital, the victim succumbed to death while undergoing treatment.

Based on the complaint filed by Priyanka’s father Chapa Subbarao, police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.

The family members are demanding a stern action against the lecturer who harassed Priyanka.
