Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Uttam Kumar Reddy along with other senior party leaders visited the Chanchalguda jail on Tuesday where he met the Osmania University students and the political leaders lodged in jail.

Lashing out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for arresting OU leaders and sending them to jail without producing them before the magistrate concerned, he warned to file a petition in the court against the police officials for these illegal arrests and cases.

The Congress leader mentioned that the BC student, Murali had committed suicide after he lost hope that he would get a job adding that the TRS government's failure to provide jobs to unemployed youth resulted in Murali’s depression and taking his life.

Citing that KCR didn’t even condole Murali’s suicide, Uttam Kumar said that the government instead unleashed the police power on students and other leaders, turning the university into a war zone further saying that even the suicide note has been allegedly fabricated or replaced.

The leaders assured the students of the support from Congress to their fight for filling government jobs.
