Kodangal MLA and Congress leader A Revanth Reddy has filed a case in the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday seeking a direction to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana State to act on his complaint against the Ministers for illegally collecting huge sums of monies as funds for holding Plenary session of TRS party in Warangal between April 21 and 28 of this year.

Although he had complained about these illegal collections on August 31, no action had been taken by the ACB so far, he stated in his petition and sought a direction to the ACB bosses to take action on his complaint. Revanth Reddy informed the Court that the Ministers had resorted to this illegal collection of monies in the name of “Gulabi Coolie” and this action fell under the purview of various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

He charged the Chief Minister with being behind this illegal collection of funds by the Ministers. He detailed how each Minister symbolically worked and collected lakhs of rupees for that ‘labour.’ One Deputy Chief Minister took classes in three schools and collected Rs 5 lakh while another Deputy Chief Minister worked in a Honda showroom in Hyderabad for 10 minutes and pocketed Rs 9.60 lakh.

The Finance Minister weighed some bags in a rice mill and got paid Rs 11 lakh for his labour. Another Minister worked in a petrol bunk and was paid Rs 1.76 lakh. He said he had complained regarding this affair to the DSP of ACB who rejected his complaint. Then he had sent the complaint by registered post to the DGP of ACB, but no action had been taken till date on his complaint. He sought a direction from the Court to the ACB to act on his complaint.
