GHMC boasts of DPMS success
The Development Permission Management System (DPMS) introduced by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been successful in reducing the time for getting permissions for building constructions in city. So far, 18,616 permissions were given by the civic body in just 30 days that is almost 80 per cent of the total 22,246 applications received.
Hyderabad: The Development Permission Management System (DPMS) introduced by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has been successful in reducing the time for getting permissions for building constructions in city. So far, 18,616 permissions were given by the civic body in just 30 days that is almost 80 per cent of the total 22,246 applications received.
A note from the GHMC claimed that it had gained Rs 739 crore by issuing online permissions for the financial year 2016-17. The DPMS was launched on June 2, 2016 by the town planning wing of the civic body in order to bring transparency. The officials said DPMS proved to be a great tool for ease of doing business. Municipal body had also organised a special training for the about 700 architects and 450 civil engineers on DPMS.
