In a touching gesture, a man went out of his way to return a smartphone to the owner. On Friday morning, an employee with IT firm in Hyderabad, Sadiq Mohammed found a Samsung S6 smartphone on the road near Annapurna Studios.

Not knowing the contact number of the nearest police station, he took to Twitter and tweeted to the Hyderabad City Police along with attaching a picture of the phone.
The Police then posted the picture from the official handle, @hydcitypolice, along with a message saying “This mobile was found by Mr. Sadik at Annapurna Studio Back gate road.

Owner of this mobile can contact 99498 12974 (Sadiq) for further details.” (sic).
Following this, over 80 people immediately re-tweeted the picture and 50 others sharing the picture in less than an hour.

By afternoon, the owner, Sowjanya called on the lost mobile asking to collect the phone. The tweets have become a huge hit among the Twitterati with many appreciating the effort using technology to help the public.
