Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday said his government will supply required water for the thermal power plant being established by NTPC at Ramagundam.

The Chief Minister visited the power plant taken up with the capacity of 4,000 MW on Friday. In the first phase, the construction of two plants each 800 MW capacity was taken up. NTPC Executive Director Dubey informed the Chief Minister that the first unit will be completed by 2020 May. The second unit will be completed by December of the same year.

K Chandrashekar Rao asked the NTPC officials to speed up the works and complete the plants as per schedule and assured all kinds of assistance to the NTPC in generating power all through the year. Telangana State Genco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao explained the Chief Minister about the construction of plants and coordination among the electricity organisations.
