Hyderabad: TRS MLA from Nakrekal Vemula Veeresham on Monday accepted the challenge posed by Congress MLA Komaritreddy Rajagopal Reddy on getting re-elected from the same constituency.
Speaking to media persons here, Veeresham said he was ready to resign from MLA's post and seek re-election. In case of defeat, he said he would quit active politics. However, he said Komatireddy brothers should also resign from their posts and seek re-election.
It may be mentioned that Rajagopal Reddy had claimed that Veeresham would not be re-elected from the same seat in next elections. He even offered to quit politics if TRS MLA retains his seat.
The TRS MLA said that the Congress party had lost its strength in Nalgonda district and the party would not win a single seat in next elections.
