Khammam: District General Secretary of the Telangana Progressive Teachers Federation (TPTF) S Vijay alleged that the government had failed in solving the issues of the teachers here on Sunday.

The district body meeting of TPTF was held under the leadership of district president V Venkateshwar Rao here at TPTF office in Khammam on Sunday. Speaking at the meeting, S Vijay alleged that last year the government had issued notification for upgradation of PET’s and Pandit posts, but did not implement it till date.

He demanded that the government continue the Old pension system (OPS) by dissolving the newly introduced Contributory Pension System (C P S system). Apart from that he demanded that the government fill the vacant teacher posts by announcing DSC by keeping in view the vacant posts up to June-2018 along with sanctioning of notional increments to about 398 members of teachers and solving the service rule issues the teachers are facing.

The State Council member of TPTF P Nagireddy alleged that the government is intentionally not showing interest in solving the problems the teachers are facing to dissolve the government education sector.

If the government behaves stubbornly in solving the issues then the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) will be taught a befitting lesson in the coming days with a massive movement across the State, he warned. The representatives of the TPTF K Narasimha Rao, A V Nageshwar Rao, MD Riyazurehman, M Krishna Rao, Y Srinivas, A Nageshwar Rao and A Kishan Rao were present along with others.
