Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary S.P. Singh on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for the visit of President of India Ramnath Kovind to Hyderabad to participate in World Telugu Conference.

While the Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will visit inaugurate the conference on December 15, the President will attend the valedictory function on December 19. Governors E.S.L. Narasimhan (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh) and Ch. Vidyasagar Rao (Maharashtra) will also participate in the event. Addressing a review meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat, the Chief Secretary directed the officials of various departments to work in perfect coordination for the successful conduct of the conference, especially in view of participation of President and Vice-President.

The Chief Secretary said all arrangements for transport, stay and food for the delegates should be flawless. He said nearly 500-550 free buses would be operated from various parts of Telangana to bring delegates to Hyderabad. He said one Nodal Officer would be appointed for each district to oversee the arrangements.

Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary also reviewed arrangements for distribution of clothes among Christians from December 14 as part of Christmas celebrations. He asked the officials to distribute clothes at churches in consultation with the local MLAs.
