Congress celebrates Rahul’s elevation
The Telangana Congress leaders celebrated the election of Rahul Gandhi as president of the party, after he was declared elected unopposed. In a statement issued on Monday, Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy and Deputy Floor Leader of the party in Legislative Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy congratulated Rahul Gandhi on his election as president of All India Congress Committee (AICC).

In a statement issued on Monday, Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy and Deputy Floor Leader of the party in Legislative Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy congratulated Rahul Gandhi on his election as president of All India Congress Committee (AICC).
They said under the able and dynamic leadership of Rahul, the Congress party would regain its lost glory. Jana Reddy added that Rahul, who comes from a family of Indira and Rajiv who sacrificed their lives for the county, would lead the party effectively. Stating that Congress would come victorious in Gujarat elections, Sudhakar Reddy said the grand old party will win 2019 polls under the able leadership of Gandhi scion.
TPCC SC department vice-chairman Dr A V Swamy congratulated Rahul Gandhi on his unanimous election as President of All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Monday. Swamy said the Congress under the dynamic and vibrant leadership of Rahul Gandhi will function as an effective organisation to take on the BJP, which is treading a dangerous path that is detrimental to the democracy.
