The place which is closely intertwined with the history and culture of Hyderabad-Golconda is hosting the World Telugu Conference for the second time.

Back in 1975, legendary singer-actor Tanguturi Suryakumari, associated with Voice of America (VOA) and Hollywood enthralled delegates with her voice.

The LB Stadium has held some of the major events in Hyderabad. Earlier known as Bagh-e-Dilkusha and Fateh Maidan, it also served as the camping place of the Moghul army led by Aurangzeb during the last siege of Golconda in 1687.

Now with the World Telugu Conference being held in the stadium, it brings back memories for those who witnessed the first-ever one in 1975.
