Telangana BJP spokesperson, Krishna Saagar Rao said that he expects the Lok Sabha polls to be held in 2019, being advanced to August-September next year and also for a bill to be passed in Parliament in the next session regarding the simultaneous elections.

Telangana BJP spokesperson, Krishna Saagar Rao said that he expects the Lok Sabha polls to be held in 2019, being advanced to August-September next year and also for a bill to be passed in Parliament in the next session regarding the simultaneous elections.

Stating that the party is pursuing the agenda to have simultaneous elections to Parliament and Assemblies, he stated that as an analyst he foresees Assembly elections, due next year and in 2019, to take place together along with the general elections in August-September 2018. As for the remaining states, Krishna Saagar Rao said that they could be held simultaneously two years later.

The Telangana BJP leader further said that BJP's focus is going to shift to the Southern states particularly Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu as they are critical for the party electorally.
