Hyderabad: Post Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh State Assembly elections, the BJP national leadership is all set to step up its activities in Telangana. For this, a year-long action plan will be prepared during a three-day meeting scheduled to be held from December 19 to 21.

A three-day meeting beginning from December 19 to discuss the current political scenario and prepare an action plan to sweep the 2019 Assembly elections

Senior party leaders from the State and BJP national leaders P K Krishna Das, Union Minister Hans Raj Gangaram Ahir, former Bihar party chief Mangal Pandey, national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao and other key leaders will participate in the meetings.

Disclosing this to the media here on Friday, BJP State president Dr K Laxman said, “Tremors of the Gujarat and Himachal election results will soon be felt in Telangana.”
The current political scenario in all the Assembly constituencies will be discussed in the meeting.

Also, political strategy, planning and action plan to take forward a year-long programme would be discussed in these meetings, he said. The sole objective of this whole exercise was to make the party come to power in 2019 Assembly elections in Telangana, Laxman said.

The strategy of the party national president Amit Shah and the ‘Vikas Agenda’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre would ride the party to success in the ensuing State assembly elections in the State, Laxman said.

The party’s ‘Congress Mukt Bharat’ had brought it to power in 19 States in the country. The Congress was paying price for its divisive politics and appeasement vote bank politics, by neglecting SC, ST, BC, and minorities in the country, he added.

The Congress, the TDP and currently the TRS had also been following similar policies in the State by joining hands with the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM). People would reject the appeasement vote bank politics and the TRS too would have to pay the political price for it polices, he pointed out.

The BJP MLA said earlier the party had only 9,000 booth committees in the State. But, the same had gone up to 23,000 in the last one year. This would be further enhanced and efforts would be made to step up the activities with the presence of the strong cadre and ideological strength. Further, special focus would be made on the 31 SC and ST Assembly constituencies in the State as part of its social engineering agenda for the welfare of the neglected sections of the State, he said.
